Opened in 1992, the Hotel Le Toiny is a beautiful, quiet villa resort on Anse de Toiny, the south-eastern coast of St. Barts in an area that is still undeveloped. It has 15 luxurious villas overlooking an island lagoon and the Caribbean Sea beyond. Natural surroundings and vegetation - including St. Barts rare Gaïac trees and cacti - has been preserved. Le Toiny's architecture has been influenced by the old plantation houses of the French West Indies, and four-poster mahogany beds in all the cottages are resemble true period pieces. The hotel fits naturally into its hillside setting, and allows for breathtaking views. It is now part of Relais & Chateau.

The Junior Suite is decorated in a more contemporary style, this expansive room has three large glass-paneled doors that open to the outdoor patio. One Bedroom Villa Suites (measuring 785 sq.ft interior and 1075 sq. ft. total surface ) are completely secluded, offering an ideal balance of spaciousness, luxury and privacy. Decorated in a French colonial style, the two rooms are separated by sliding partitions and feature three large glass paneled doors which open to the terrace and private pool area. La Villa, is the largest Suite occupies the most private portion of the property, boasting a Master Villa and two luxury bungalows.
